ART 10 (5 credits) Full Year
This course is mandatory for students wishing to register in Art 20 IB or Art 30 IB in grades 11 and 12. The class will be composed of students in both the IB and regular Art programs.

ART 20 IB and ART 30 IB(5 credits) Semestered
Visual Art students enrolled in this two year program will be taking a “Standard Level A IB Program”. This means that students will develop their artistic skills with an integration of “Studio Work” and “Research Workbooks”. Studio Work focuses on:

personal growth and commitment

technical and media skills

purposeful exploration
Research Workbooks focus on independent, contextual as well as critical research, which the Art IB student requires in order to solidify their own artistic style, while expanding their portfolio and preparing for an exhibition of their work. The exhibition will occur at the end of the two year program. All Art 20 IB and Art 30 IB students will be encouraged to write the Standard Level A IB Examination which also occurs at the end of the two year program.
